Tax Day is here! Did you know that taxpayers and businesses can direct their PA State Tax liability to St. Joseph/ St. Robert School through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC) to be used as tuition scholarships. In return you receive a 90% tax credit on your PA State Taxes for being a donor! Look at your PA State Tax forms on Line 12 to see if you have a tax liability greater than $1,000. If you do, you can participate in this unique program and make an amazing impact in the life of a SJR student along with supporting Catholic education! The solar eclipse may be over but we still have a few more related activities to share from yesterday. Mrs. Wood’s 4th grade students used the frosting of Oreo cookies to visualize the phases of the moon using the contrast of the frosting and cookie to represent light and shadows on the surface of the moon as seen from Earth. Definitely a fun way to review the phases of the Moon Cycle followed by the enjoyment of a delicious Oreo cookie. #WeAreSJR, #SJRproud, #archphilly, #AOPS_schools, @AOPS_schools

It’s Solar Eclipse Day and what an amazing educational experience for our students. We started the morning with two of our 7th grade students reading their Solar Eclipse poems on SJR Today. Learning continued to focus on solar eclipse activities. Students made models to demonstrate what happens during the eclipse, fun hats to celebrate, and many crafts to explore how a solar eclipse occurs. The students left school excited to use their special safety solar eclipse glasses, thank you HSA. #WeAreSJR, #SJRproud, #archphilly, @AOPS_schools, #AOPS_schools
