The halls are buzzing with energy and fresh ideas as our SJR family comes together for another school year!
Today, we welcomed our students back to St. Joseph/St. Robert School. After weeks of preparation, our teachers were ready to greet them, and the school was once again filled with excitement and learning.
Weโre grateful to see our students settling into their classrooms, connecting with friends, and beginning another year of growing in faith, knowledge, and character.
Thereโs so much to look forward to in the year ahead, and we canโt wait to see all that our students will accomplish. Welcome back, SJR!

Last Thursday, Mrs. Durkin and our faculty had a wonderful opportunity to gather for Archbishopโs Day with over 1000 Catholic elementary school educators from across the Archdiocese of Phila. Schools at Archbishop Wood High School for a day of prayer, reflection, and celebration as we prepare for a new school year!
This yearโs theme, โWitness: Reclaiming in Christ Our Hope, Our Light, and Our Joy,โ is a powerful reminder of our faith, our vocation, and the incredible gift of Catholic education.
We are truly ready for a wonderful year a head to witness Christ to our students through our words, our actions, and the way we live each day! #WeAreSJR, #SJRproud, #archphilly, #AOPS_schools, Archdiocese of Phila. Schools ... See MoreSee Less

Welcome SJR Faculty and Staff! On Wednesday of this week, all our teachers and staff were officially back as we began with Mass and a busy organizational day!
We were grateful for the opportunity to come together in faith as we prepare for another wonderful year at SJR!
The day consisted of catching up with summer fun, reviewing schedules and safety plans, finalizing programs and initiatives that will support our students, and updating our first aid skills.
We all sensed the extraordinary degree of passion, commitment, and positive energy that will carry us into a new beginning school year together!
A special thank you to our amazing HSA for welcoming our faculty and staff back with a โsweet treatโ. Your thoughtfulness and generosity helped make our first day together extra special!

Our Pre-K, K, and 1st Grade studentโs shared popsicles with their principal, Mrs. Durkin this past Tuesday morning. This gathering of cool treats marked the last playground meet-up before the school starts. It was a joyful way to say goodbye to summer - gathered together with classmates, parents, and our principal.
