Affording your SJR Catholic Education

St. Joseph/St. Robert School strives to ensure that all families that desire a Catholic education are not held back by their own financial resources. St. Joseph/St. Robert families are blessed to have several opportunities available to them to make Catholic education affordable:

Funding from BLOCS/EITC – provides tuition assistance to qualified families from the generosity of businesses who contribute to the program and receive a state tax benefit from their donations.
Sponsor a Student Program – tuition assistance is awarded from funds that parishioners and other individuals have donated to the school and/or church.

Applications for the BLOCS Scholarship for the 2022 – 2023 academic year are open. It is recommended that you visit: www.Blocs.org and review the FAQ. It is very important that every SJR family review and apply even if you are over the annual income. Families can apply who have students enrolling in grades Pre-K through 12^th.

Families with one dependent must have an annual income of less than $92,160 & $16,222 for a total of $108,382 to qualify. For each additional dependent, you can make an additional $16,222 per child.

Applications for tuition scholarships are completed through FACTS by visiting: http://blocs.org/apply-scholarship/ The application fee is $30.00 & all submissions are strictly confidential. Once you complete an online application, you will need to send the following information to FACTS to finalize the application process:

* Copies of your 2021 Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules. Everything must be submitted to FACTS by May 1st to determine your family’s eligibility for tuition scholarship. Families will be notified of their award in August.

Sponsor a Student is a scholarship program funded by generous donations from parishioners from St. Joseph and St Robert parishes, school families/relatives and alumni. All school families in need of financial assistance are eligible to apply for a scholarship. Families are asked to complete the SJR Scholarship Application below and return to Mrs. Dorothy Aschenbrenner, Business Manager via email at daschenbrenner@stjstr.org.

The pastor will review the application along with a small group of advisors. After meeting with the parents/guardians and considering the guidance provided by his advisors, the pastor will decide on the amount of financial support that can be offered. All information on the application, as well as any discussions will be kept confidential.
